Greensboro Lindy McArthur Duncan, 74, died Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Wesley Long Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m, Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens with military rites provided by Rockingham County Honor Guard and North Carolina National Guard. Mr. Duncan was born April 28, 1942, in Stokes County, to the late Val Duncan and Gracie Fagg Duncan. He was a graduate of Madison High School, a US Army veteran and a retired employee of Air Ground Express. He was also a member of Community Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Elliott “Cooton” Duncan. Survivors include his wife of nine years, Linda Harris Duncan; son, Tim Duncan; step-daughter, Tonya Cardwell; sister-in-law, Coleen Goad Duncan and numerous nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Saturday, at Colonial Funeral Home. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family. Condolences may be offered at www.colonialfh.net.
