The Legends Tour 2019 season starts at the ANA Inspiration in April and wraps up in October with the Senior LPGA Championship at French Lick – find a Legends event near you and go enjoy some spectacular golf ~
The Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the LPGA, showcases the talents of Tour players and other eligible over-45 golfers. The Tour is simply packed with the women who have been my heroes and role models throughout my own love affair with the game of golf.
Founded in 2000 to provide extended opportunities for competition to senior professional golfers and eligible amateurs, the Legends Tour has grown to represent 120+ active members who collectively own nearly 750 LPGA victories and 80+ major championship titles.
Among the Legends Tour members: 14 LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame members; 9 Solheim Cup captains; and scores of European and American Solheim Cup competitors.
If you watched Dame Laura Davies and Juli Inkster battle for the inaugural U.S. Women’s Open championship victory last year at the Chicago Golf Club, as I did, you already know The Legends Tour represents the most outstanding players in the women’s game.
If you’ve only watched these women wield their sticks from a distance, this could be the year for you to get behind the ropes and take in their talent and exuberance from a closer vantage point.
You’ll have eight opportunities to see the Legends at work (and play) this year. Their season begins with ANA Inspiration Legends Day on March 31 at Rancho Mirage and ends in October on the Pete Dye Course at French Lick, Indiana.
Most of those events include pro-am opportunities and they all promise an intense engagement with the game and the women who play it.
